Billings Forge Community Works (BFCW), is a non-profit organization in the Frog Hollow neighborhood of Hartford that is
working to replace disinvestment with investment, create a shared sense of mission, offer education and training, and
underscore the idea that a good place to live is more than just four walls and a roof. Programs include the Firebox Restaurant,
The Kitchen @ Billings Forge, The Studio @ Billings Forge, The Farmer's Market @ Billings Forge, and The Workshops @ Billings Forge.
Charter Oak Cultural Center

Built in 1876, Connecticut’s first synagogue was restored by a
group of Hartford-area residents in recent years. Charter Oak Cultural
Center is now a non-profit arts resource for the exploration of the
world's cultures, especially those strongly represented in the Hartford
region.

Homegrown Dance is a local movement that celebrates the exciting diversity and innovation of Greater Hartford's professional dance community, with roots that grow down deep in local soil. This collaborative initiative is made up of a core group of area dance companies and presenting venues, working together to establish a more significant presence in Greater Hartford. The initiative seeks to identify and leverage shared need and existing resources toward that end.
